About

“Never say no to an idea—you never know how that idea will ignite another idea.” — Stanley Kubrick

Being on a set, coordinating crews, working with actors, dealing with the elements—it’s organised chaos. As Steven Spielberg once said, the hardest part of the day is getting out of the car and embracing the onslaught. Still, I crave that environment. It’s invigorating.

When I’m not directing, I’m either developing screenplays or studying cinema with my video essay work. There’s endless inspiration out there. And endless ways to tell stories.

Film is a collaborative medium. I constantly seek others’ expertise, in order to strengthen my ideas. There’s only so much I can do alone, but working in unison with talented artists takes it to another level.
